Cantor Schnitzer was born, raised, and currently resides in Bucks County, PA, with his lovely wife Linda Bobrin and three wonderful sons, Alex, David and Aaron. He grew up as a member of Congregation Beth El in Levittown where he helped lead Junior Congregation and was a member of the Youth Choir. He attended Herzl Zion Hebrew School in Trenton, NJ, (now Abrams Academy in Yardley). At the age of 12 he became the youngest member of the Adult Choir at Beth El.

]]>During school he was involved in music and drama programs and played many roles on stage. This continued into his adult life and led to his marriage to Linda. They met at the Klein Branch of the JCC in Northeast Philadelphia where both were involved in the theater. The last roles they played there were opposite each other as Charlie Brown and Lucy.
Cantor Neil has been involved in the Delaware Valley Jewish Community for most of his life. After his first cantorial position leading the Southington Jewish Congregation in Connecticut for High Holy Days, he became the Cantor of Congregation Tikvoh Chadoshoh in the Germantown area of Philadelphia. Subequently, he served at was Tiferes B’nei Israel in Warrington, PA, and Society Hill Synagogue in Philadelphia. In 1999-2000 he spent a year at the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia as the Coordinator of Outreach Services during which he administered the Friday Night Alive! program. Cantor Neil has worked to design new Shabbat and holiday services including an all musical Friday evening service called, “Shabbat Reenah” and a “Multi-Generational” Shabbat morning service both of which combine new music with traditional liturgical works.
Cantor Neil enjoys a great variety of music, gardening, theater, Jewish Studies, science and spending time with his family. He is very excited to be a part of the Temple Emanuel Community.

]]>He has taught undergraduate courses at NYU, adult education at the JCC in Manhattan, and parent conversations at the Society for the Advancement of Judaism (SAJ) on the Upper West Side. For the decade prior to attending HUC-JIR, Gidon served as the education director of the SAJ. There, he ran the Hebrew School, initiated educational change initiatives, and led family services. Gidon lives in Voorhees with his wife Wendy and his sons Yadin and Natan.

]]>Rabbi Jerome David is the Senior Rabbi at Temple Emanuel, a position he has held since 1987. Rabbi David joined Temple Emanuel in 1974 as Assistant Rabbi and was promoted to Associate Rabbi in 1977.
Rabbi David is active in a wide range of community and social service organizations. He is treasurer of the Tri-County Board of Rabbis and is a member of the Central Conference of American Rabbis (CCAR) and the Delaware Valley Area Reform Rabbis (DVARR). He is presently chair of the Rabbis' Division of the Allied Jewish Appeal. He serves on the boards of the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey and the Susan G. Koman Foundation. He is an instructor for the Union for Reform Judaism's course on "Introduction to Judaism."

Rabbi David has previously served on the CCAR executive board (1987-1989); was co-chair of Operation Exodus (1980), president of DVARR (1987-1989); a member of the New Jersey State Commission on Holocaust Education (1991-1997), the Cherry Hill Township Ethics Committee and Alliance to Fight Alcohol Abuse. He also served on the executive board of the Jewish Community Center, which named him Volunteer of the Year in 1987.
Rabbi David holds an M.A.H.C degree from Hebrew Union College, Jewish Institute of Religion, and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Cincinnati. He and his wife, Peggy, have three married sons, Benjamin, Jonathan, and Adam and seven grandchildren. Peggy David, MSW, LCSW, is a psychotherapist with the Centra Group in Marlton, NJ.
